These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Legal Opinion platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing, registering, or using Legal Opinion, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Platform. Legal Opinion reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time, with changes effective upon posting to the Platform. Continued use following such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility & Account Responsibilities
User Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements to use the Platform. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Professional User Requirements
Licensed legal professionals must provide valid credentials and comply with applicable bar rules and ethical requirements in their jurisdictions. Legal Opinion reserves the right to verify qualifications and maintain professional standards.
3. Platform Services
Legal Opinion operates as a marketplace connecting clients with legal professionals for opinion services. The Platform facilitates introductions and communications but does not:
- •Create attorney-client relationships on behalf of users
- •Provide legal advice or serve as a substitute for direct attorney engagement
- •Guarantee the quality, completion, or outcome of legal services
- •Ensure attorney availability or responsiveness
- •Verify legal credentials beyond industry standards
Actual attorney-client relationships and legal services are directly between clients and the engaged attorney, independent of the Platform.
4. User Obligations & Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- •Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or professional conduct rules
- •Engage in fraud, misrepresentation, or deceptive practices
- •Harass, defame, or discriminate against other users
- •Attempt to bypass security measures or access unauthorized systems
- •Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful content
- •Scrape, crawl, or bulk download Platform content
- •Circumvent payment requirements or engage in unauthorized transactions
- •Share sensitive case information outside confidentiality protections
- •Conduct competing services using Platform data or relationships
5. Intellectual Property Rights
All Platform content, including text, graphics, logos, code, and design elements, is the exclusive property of Legal Opinion or its licensors and is protected by international copyright and patent laws.
Limited License
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for its intended purpose. This license does not grant rights to:
- •Modify, reverse engineer, or decompile Platform code
- •Create derivative works from Platform content
- •Remove copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- •Use Platform content for commercial purposes without permission
User Content
You retain ownership of content you upload to the Platform (case details, documents, messages). By using the Platform, you grant Legal Opinion a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide Services and comply with legal obligations.
6. Disclaimers & "As-Is" Services
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:
- •Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- •Accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of content or services
- •Uninterrupted or error-free Platform operation
- •Professional qualifications or competence of legal professionals
- •Non-infringement of third-party intellectual property rights
Legal Opinion does not warrant that access to the Platform will be continuous or uninterrupted. We do not endorse, recommend, or guarantee any legal professional or the services they provide through the Platform.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEGAL OPINION AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- •Damages for loss of profits, revenue, data, use, or goodwill
- •Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- •Business interruption or failure to provide services
- •Any claims arising from user conduct, third-party services, or external websites
In jurisdictions where liability limitations are prohibited, our liability is limited to the amount you paid to Legal Opinion in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is lower.
8. Third-Party Services & Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, payment processors, identity verification services, and external content. Legal Opinion does not:
- •Control, review, or verify these third-party services or websites
- •Endorse their content, policies, or practices
- •Assume responsibility for any transactions, disputes, or data sharing
- •Guarantee their security, accuracy, or availability
Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies. Review them carefully before proceeding.
9. Payment & Service Fees
Certain Platform services require payment. By providing payment information, you authorize Legal Opinion to charge applicable fees:
- •Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified
- •Legal Opinion may change fees with 30 days' notice
- •You are responsible for paying applicable taxes and charges
- •Payment disputes must be reported within 60 days
- •We may suspend services for non-payment
10. Termination & Account Suspension
Legal Opinion may, at its sole discretion and without liability, suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform if you:
- •Violate these Terms or other policies
- •Engage in illegal or fraudulent activity
- •Repeatedly violate professional conduct standards
- •Are unresponsive to verification requests
- •Fail to maintain accurate account information
You may request account closure at any time. Upon termination, you retain rights to your content, but Platform access ends immediately.
11. Modifications to Platform & Services
Legal Opinion may modify, enhance, or discontinue Platform features, services, or functionality at any time without liability. We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice of material changes. Continued use of the Platform following such changes constitutes acceptance of the modified services.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with:
- •The laws of the jurisdiction where Legal Opinion is incorporated/operates
- •Without regard to conflict of law principles
- •Exclusive jurisdiction in courts located in that jurisdiction
You irrevocably consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in such location. However, this does not limit actions for injunctive relief or to enforce intellectual property rights.
13. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to attempt good-faith negotiation with Legal Opinion. If unresolved after 30 days, disputes may be resolved through:
- •Binding arbitration (except for intellectual property or injunctive relief claims)
- •Small claims court (if claim amount is within statutory limits)
- •Mediation by a neutral third party
